1. Will these fit both Yukon and Yukon XL models?
Yes. They are designed for compatible 2015–2027 GMC Yukon and Yukon XL models with factory mirror puddle lights.
2. Do I need to cut wires or modify my mirrors?
No. These lights connect directly to the compatible factory connector. No cutting, drilling, splicing, coding, or permanent mirror modifications are required.
3. Do the puddle lights come for both sides or just the driver’s side?
Each order includes a pair: one mirror-mounted puddle light for the driver’s side and one for the passenger’s side.
4. How long does installation take?
Most Yukon owners can install both sides in about 10 minutes. Remove the factory light, unplug it, connect the RTG unit, and snap it into place.
5. Do my mirrors need to have factory puddle lights?
Yes. RTG puddle lights are direct replacements for compatible factory mirror light locations. They will not work with blank mirror housings, reflectors only, or mirrors without the required factory wiring.
6. Will these lights drain my battery?
No. They operate through your vehicle’s factory courtesy-light circuit, turning on with the welcome lighting and switching off automatically afterward.
7. Will running board lights affect the puddle light projection?
They can. If your vehicle already has running board lights or other lighting near the doors, the extra light may wash out the projection and make the logo appear less sharp or visible.
If your vehicle has running board lights, these puddle lights may not be the best fit, as the projection may not display as clearly as intended.
